I am Paula, I am an architect and a designer. I am passionate about human-centered design and innovation and that is why about one year ago I decided to quit my job in London and move to Barcelona to enroll in a Masters in Product Design and development at ELISAVA , in which I have been honored with the Gold category of the ei! Professional Edition Award. I think Design and Innovation are necessarily linked to strategy and for this reason I have also completed a Postgraduate Course on Design Management at the UPC School of Professional and Executive Development.
I am an architect by the Polytechnic University of Madrid (2009) and international scholarship at Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago (2006-2007)
I have worked internationally renowned studios in Chicago (SOM, 2007), Madrid (Abalos & Herreros 2007-2010) and London (AL_A, 2010-2014) where I have been responsible for the design and technical development of projects such as the EDP-Centre Arts, in Lisbon, an innovative public space that will transform the waterfront of Lisbon or the Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre in Southampton where we designed a placed centered on improving the experience of care for cancer patients.
I have the experience of leading multidisciplinary teams and I extremely enjoy teamwork, it's fascinating, really inspiring, and the results are always surprising. I am never tired of learning and so over the past years I have developed skills in various disciplines of design, 3D modeling, rendering, video editing, layout, creativity tools, analytical graphic tools ... etc.
At the moment I collaborate with Disset designing and developing products for the construction of the extension of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and I collaborate with ELISAVA organizing and teaching innovation and creative thinking as part of the Master's of Product Design.
